Tachibana Kenji (EXILE、EXILE THE SECOND)

The guide booklet [SAIJO SAKE TOURISM] supervised by Tachibana Kenchi (EXILE, EXILE THE SECOND) has been completed and will be distributed as free paper.

[SAIJO SAKE TOURISM] is a project commissioned by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and was produced as part of the production support project of [HASHIWATASHI PROJECT], a reconstruction support project for the damage caused by heavy rain in western Japan in 2018. [HASHIWATASHI PROJECT] Tachibana is producing two brewery companies in Okayama, Marumoto Sake Brewery and Hiroshima, Kamozumi Sake Brewery from companies in the publicly recruited China area. In January of this year, Tachibana visited Saijo, Higashihiroshima City, where there is Hiroshima and Kamozumi Sake Brewery. While discussing with related parties, Kamozumi Shuzo and Maegaki said, “I want you to reinvigorate the city by sending out the good things of Saijo and wipe off the bad weather damage of the western Japan heavy rain.” In response to the words, he proposed the creation of a guidebook. When we revisited Saijo in July, we wanted to create a booklet with everyone in the city, regardless of generation, so in addition to the Saijo Shuzo Association, we teamed up with the editing team of the student group maho Labo. Was interviewed.

[SAIJO SAKE TOURISM] includes information on breweries and hot spots in Saijo and Akitsu areas. In addition, there is also a page where you can paste a special label sticker [SAKE BREWERY LABEL] that you can get as a proof of visiting the 8 warehouses of the Saijo Sake Brewery Association. The number of copies is limited to 10,000, and distribution will start from September 27 at related facilities in Higashihiroshima City and Saijo. It is also planned to be handled by LDH kitchen IZAKAYA AOBADAI, an antenna shop TAU and Tachibana produce in Hiroshima, Ginza, Tokyo. Tachibana is scheduled to appear on the second day of the Sake Festival 2019, which will be held in Higashihiroshima on October 12 and 13.

Comment by Kenchi Tachibana
I think Saijo is often taken up as a city of sake, but I didn't want to make this one book only for sake. Because I wanted to drop people who live there, nature, and various things crossing over. The most symbolic of this was the way of thinking of sake.
When I came into contact with various ways of thinking regardless of generation, I realized once again that it is a city where everyone lives alive. I would be happy if everyone who picked them up felt a bit of the excitement everywhere in the town. And I hope that this booklet will be inherited in the same way as the city is becoming more active.
